| After completing the detailed design of the Nuclear Materials Safeguards and Security Upgrades Project (NMSSUP), Phase II for Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), Burns and Roe was awarded a follow on contract to perform Title III services in support of construction. The work will span a three-year construction period and will involve close coordination with the LANL construction management staff, the LANL NMSSUP Project Team, and up to four construction subcontractors, as well as the LANL construction forces.
Burns and Roe’s scope of services for NMSSUP include support of inspections and tests; response to bidder’s questions; response to construction subcontractors’ requests for additional information; resolution of non-conformances; engineering support on proposed change requests; support interfaces between construction work packages; and development of final record drawings.
