| Burns and Roe Enterprises, Inc. was awarded an engineering subcontract for the Canyon Power Plant Project in the City of Anaheim, California. The Project is a nominal 200 MW combustion turbine simple-cycle generating station, consisting of four GE LM600 PC Sprint CTG package units. Burns and Roe is the engineering subcontractor to Barton Malow, the EPC contractor for the Southern California Public Power Authority.
The Southern California Public Power Authority is a consortium of municipalities and an irrigation district established by a Joint Powers Agreement to develop, construct, and operate electric generation and transmission projects. Output of the plant will be used to serve native load within the City of Anaheim, and to meet resource adequacy requirements.
