| Burns and Roe Enterprises, Inc. has been selected to provide engineering and design services to DiFazio Power & Electric LLC for the replacement of a Central Utility Plant at OSI Pharmaceuticals’ new headquarters in Ardsley, New York. The scope of work includes providing the specification and installation documents needed to procure equipment and install a new Central Utilities Power Plant inside an existing power house building at the site. The new power plant will consist of two boilers each capable of generating up to 50,000 lbs/hr of superheated steam at a pressure of 550 psig and a temperature of 530oF, a backpressure steam turbine utilizing superheated steam from the boilers to produce electrical power, a new cooling tower and two steam turbine driven centrifugal chillers.
