Burns and Roe Services Corporation to Present
By Burns and Roe
Burns and Roe Services Corporation announced that Joe Martino and Carmine Battafarano will be featured presenters at the Central Physical Plant Administrators (CAPPA) Annual Conference to be held on October 11-15, 2008 in Oklahoma City, OK. The CAPPA Annual Conference attracts hundreds of attendees from higher education institutions, end-users, equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and consulting firms to share and exchange information on facility and physical plant best practices, case studies, innovations and innovative solutions for supplying highly reliable and sustainable services to the growing university campuses within the Central Region.

College campuses worldwide are expanding and renewing their facilities to improve efficiency, support load growth, enhance reliability, and to improve energy efficiency through an array of initiatives. Aging utility infrastructure is often being stretched to the point where it is unable to effectively and efficiently meet its future demands. With fuel prices near record highs and campus expansion driving load growth, the economics of investing in energy efficient infrastructure are more compelling than ever. Burns and Roe will illustrate how a comprehensive, holistic Utility Master Plan provides a roadmap and a decision-making tool for utility infrastructure planning. Ultimately, Utility Master Planning bridges the gap between a university’s sustainable goals and its existing infrastructure capabilities.
