| Engineering - Electrical | | | | | Senior Principal Engineer - High Voltage, Substation, T& D lines (Oradell, NJ) | | | | | We are currently seeking a Senior Principal Engineer candidate to join our Electrical Department in the Oradell, NJ office to focus on Electrical High Voltage, Substation, Transmission and Distribution work. Candidate must possess previous experience in Electrical High Voltage, Substation, Transmission and Distribution as outlined below to be considered.
PURPOSE AND PRIMARY FUNCTION:
As an Engineering Specialist, directs certain engineering activities in a specific discipline on assigned project(s) in accordance with the highest technical standards and all applicable legal and professional codes. In project management, coordinates and directs the total project effort on one or more large projects.
For this opportunity the specialist requirements are as follows:
1. BSEE and PE License required /MS preferred;
2. 10+ years detailed engineering design experience in electrical high voltage, Substation, Transmission and Distribution;
3. Familiarity with National Electrical Code, ANSI/IEEE standards, UL and NEMA standards;
4. Experiences in preparation of one line diagrams including selection and application of protective relaying;
5. Experienced in preparation and checking of electrical power system calculations, including short circuit, load flow relay coordination and equipment sizing calculations;
6. Experienced in preparation of specifications for equipment procurement and installation and testing of electrical installations;
7. Capable of directing electrical engineering and design staff personnel for execution of a power project;
8. Reviews the technical accuracy and adequacy of, and approves, diagram drawings, calculations, studies, specifications, and other technical documents; and
9. Good oral and written communication skills.
